A Couple of FIRSTS and a Championship!

Saturday the Moses Lake Girls Soccer Team traveled to Richland to take on the Bombers for the District Championship.  Moses Lake has never beat Richland on Bomber Field nor have they ever won the District Championship....until NOW!!

Moses Lake struck first, then Richland answered, then Moses Lake struck again and Richland wasn't able to catch up.  Moses Lake won 2-1.  Richland was awarded the League Championship and Moses Lake was awarded the District Championship and heads into Regionals with the 1st seed.  They will take on the number 3 seed Saturday.  Way to go Moses Lake!!

Good Bye

You will be missed my friend, Terry!  Kyle, Mary and I attended Terry's funeral today in Clarkston.  It was bitter sweet.  This picture shows her with one of her children, her daughter Hailey.  Terry was my business teacher when I was in high school, but more importantly we were good friends.  Hailey is a year older than Briar and Drew is between Briar and Paxton.  She also has 2 older sons, Scott and Sam, and a granddaughter by son Scott.  She fought a brave battle with cancer.  She was able to see Drew off to Gonzaga this fall with Hailey and then spent another month saying goodbye.  You will be missed.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Autumn!!

2 days ago in the morning when I woke up, it was the first

morning that "looked" like Autumn!  The canal had a

little steam coming off of it and the sky was a little hazy...

all great signs of the weather changing!  Hello COOLER temperatures!!
